A few weeks back I remember getting this message from a very close friend. I was of course just thrilled to see it pop up on the screen, even before reading the message itself.
Now what’s with blue and green, you may ask. Blue is my favorite color and green is hers.My immediate response was something like this, it doesn’t matter what shade or color you like, I will always choose you. For me it was simple, beautiful and straightforward. To each their own is something I strongly believe in. So how can someone’s favorite color alter the way others see you?
I’m a crazy blue gal, driving a blue car, I wear a lot of blue yes, all our bedrooms are painted blue, my shower screen has a dash of blue, blue nail polish and the list goes on.
Other colors may not be as appealing to me as blue but so what. Would that ever be a deciding factor in relationships or friendships? Definitely not for me.
I’ve been seeing this quote circulating on different platforms and my brain still has trouble processing and understanding the meaning behind it. Would I be enough or would they be enough? What’s the question here now? Someone please explain.
Our lives are now taken over by infinite stories, articles, findings, videos, reels and the list goes on. Where anything can be said and everything sounds too good and believable.
If a color was a reason to be drawn to another person, wouldn’t the world be a different place by now?
Tell you a joke. I’ve been married for almost 18 years now and I still have no clue what my husband’s favorite color is. Does he even have one? Nope, not as far as I can remember. But hey, we can’t complain, we’ve made it this far. Color is the last thing that would come between us.
Maybe there’s some psychology behind this quote, one that’s out of my realm of knowledge. No offense to anyone who resonates with it.
I want to love people for who they are and what they do, be it blue, green or red, a bit of this or a bit of that… or maybe you’re all of it too.
My people are fun, crazy and beautiful and spectacular in all aspects.
Maybe life isn’t about finding someone who loves the same color as you but about appreciating every shade they bring into your world.
